Jakarta World Folklore Festival (JWFF) 2025
About Festival
CIOFF Indonesia, in collaboration with the Jakarta Provincial Government, proudly hosted the first-ever Jakarta World Folklore Festival (JWFF) from August 1–6, 2025, as part of the city's journey toward its 500th anniversary. The festival welcomed cultural delegations from Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, Bulgaria, and Russia.
The six-day event opened at Jakarta City Hall and featured a dynamic lineup of activities: a cultural parade, international dance performances, school visits to SMAN 6 Jakarta and SMPI Al-Azhar 1, and a city tour for international participants.
Governor Pramono Anung joined the JWFF Parade on Car-Free Day, reflecting strong support from the local government. Audiences turned out in large numbers for the three-day showcase at Senayan Park, demonstrating high public enthusiasm.
The festival concluded on August 5 with a Closing Ceremony attended by key figures, including Deputy Governor Rano Karno, President’s Special Envoy for Tourism Zita Anjani, CIOFF Indonesia President Said Rachmat, and Deputy Mayor of Cilegon Fajar Hadi Prabowo. Officials expressed their commitment to making JWFF an annual cultural celebration, supporting cultural preservation and international exchange.
